Singapore e-Visa

When entering Singapore from another country, you must get a Singapore e-Visa, which is an electronic visa.

Either an e-Visa agency or a local contact from Singapore must handle e-Visa applications.

The Singaporean government has set up an electronic visa system to make it easier for residents of the 36 countries who qualify to apply quickly from home and receive their permits entirely online.

A 30-day stay in Singapore is permitted with the Singapore e-Visa, a single-entry visa valid for 30 days after the date of issuance.

To ensure they will obtain their travel permission on time, tourists should apply at least three days before their trip since they must have an online visa in order to visit Singapore.

The approved Singapore e-Visa is sent to each applicant as a PDF file via email. Then, after printing it, travelers should bring it with them to the airport so they may show it to the customs officers when they arrive.

Important Information: Most foreign visitors must fill out the SG Arrival Card, according to Singaporean officials. Please remember that it serves as a health declaration and is not a substitute for a visa. Both documents must be obtained if you are a citizen of a nation that is not exempt from visa requirements.

  • Singapore e-Visa types
  • There is just one sort of e-Visa for Singapore that entitles its owners to a 30-day stay (one month). The following activities are permissible for travelers to perform with their online visa:
    • Tourism: intended for all visitors to go on vacation, visit friends and family, or explore the nation for up to 30 days
    • Business: to manage your company affairs, strike deals and alliances, or carry out any professional duties.
  • Do take note! Business visitors to Singapore are required to submit an extra V39A form, also known as a Letter of Introduction, for a Visa Application.
  • A Singaporean citizen or resident who is at least 21 years old and who represents the registered Singapore business company you will be working with must write the letter. If you can’t obtain the LOI from a local contact from Singapore, Embassy-issued LOIs are also acceptable.

Transit Information

It is advisable to have an e-Visa when transiting through Singapore in order to avoid any difficulties while going to your final destination.

Prior to arriving in Singapore, make sure you have a passport that is still valid and an authorized electronic visa.

Requirements on arrival

Before entering Singapore, all visitors should have two necessary documents ready. Please submit your entry permit application a few days before your trip, and once it has been accepted, make sure you have a paper copy of your online visa. Travelers coming to Singapore should have the following documents ready upon arrival:

  • a paper copy of the e-Visa
  • a passport that is now valid and won’t expire for at least six months after the date you intend to arrive in Singapore

Required Documents

The Information in this part is essential for preparing the necessary paperwork for an online visa application. Therefore, prepare the paperwork as mentioned above and affix it to your application.

The following papers must be submitted with each traveler’s e-Visa application:

  • a photo of the applicant’s valid passport bio-data page
  • applicant’s face photograph that can be easily taken using a phone or a PC camera

Make sure you include a photo that was taken no more than three months prior to submitting.

Do take note! Travelers may occasionally be required to submit an additional V39A form, which is a letter from a local contact in Singapore. The local contact must be at least 21 years old and either a Singaporean citizen or a permanent resident.

All business travelers must have a local contact who speaks on behalf of a company with Singaporean business registration and write the Letter of Introduction for Visa Application.

LOIs issued by embassies are also accepted if you are unable to secure one through a local Singaporean contact.

COVID 19 VACCINE

Singapore has eliminated all vaccination restrictions for visitors as of August 29th, 2022. Therefore, no specific vaccinations are required to travel to this country. In addition, a negative pre-departure test is no longer required if you have a Covid vaccination certificate.

Certificates of immunization are presently good for 270 days following the last dose. A booster dose cancels this expiration date.

DO I NEED A NEGATIVE COVID-19 TEST RESULT TO GET A VISA?

If they can produce a vaccination certificate, fully immunized passengers 13 years of age and older are free from displaying a negative PCR or antigen test result. Travelers who are not fully vaccinated or who are not entirely protected from disease must nonetheless present a negative PCR or antigen test result obtained within 48 hours of departure.
