Boeing’s two new 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft is being added to its fleet in September 2019. Besides, the airlines have taken the initiative to introduce freighter services for goods transport only.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday inaugurated the 787-8 Dreamliner ‘Honsbala’ created by the Boeing-bound Biman Bangladesh Airlines on December 5 last year.
He said that the officials concerned should take the initiative to start the airline’s cargo service on goods transport. According to his order, on December 12, a five-member committee was set up for the Fiji Study on the launch of the aircraft freighter. The general manager of the Revenue Division of Biman was made its head.

Biman’s Managing Director and CEO said that in the last 47 years, the airline has transported 54 million passengers. In addition to the pilgrims, Biman Bangladesh Airlines has been carrying dead expatriates without any cost due to accidents.
