Malaysia Airlines passengers can look forward to a sumptuous Chinese New Year feast on board as well as at its Golden Lounges in KL International Airport (KLIA), Kuching and Kota Kinabalu.From now until Jan 31, the national carrier is treating guests to delectable festive dishes on selected flights to Hong Kong, Daxing (Beijing), Shanghai and London.
Malaysia Airlines group chief marketing and customer experience officer Lau Yin May said the carrier wants to make the CNY journey more special for travelers.“Serving the festive menu perfectly complements our Fly Malaysia campaign that allows visitors to experience the taste of truly Malaysian cultural heritage dishes, such as yee sang, be it on the ground or at 30,000 feet,” she said.
Business Suite and Business Class passengers will be served an appetizer of yee sang with salmon tataki or jellyfish, steamed cod fish with red date, ginger and shiitake mushroom or a choice of vegetable balls with ginkgo nut, braised Pak Choy with mushroom, served with steamed rice as the main course.
Economy Class passengers will also enjoy an appetizer of yee sang with jellyfish served with a choice of a deep-fried fish cube with broccoli mushroom and steamed rice or chicken with sesame sour plum sauce with oriental mixed vegetables and egg fried rice as the main dish. Visitors to the airline’s lounges in the aforementioned airports will also get to sample some special festive dishes.
