In Gulmarg: The vehicle is allowed to drop at main Gulmarg or at your hotel and from there onwards
one has to walk or can go by ponies on direct payment for local sightseeing in Gulmarg.
ARRIVE IN SRINAGAR Our representative at the Srinagar airport will meet you. . In the evening, you will take a Shikara ride on Dal Lake, where you will visit the floating vegetable gardens. As you ride the Shikara, you can see a variety of bird species, such as Kingfishers, Little Bitterns, Common Pariah Kites, Grebes, etc. A deluxe houseboat will be your place for dinner.
SRINAGAR-PAHALGAM -SRINAGAR After breakfast, proceed to Pahalgam (The valley of shepherds). In about three hours, you’ll cover the 96 km total distance. While on the way, visit the Pampore saffron fields and Awantipura Ruins (an 1100 years old ancient temple of Lord Vishnu built by King Awantivarman). Next, drive through the pine forests. Finally, when you are at Pahalgam, enjoy the Lidder stream. Then before going back to the hotel, walk through the trails and enjoy the magnificent view of the mountains. In the evening, you will be back at the hotel, and you will stay overnight in the hotel.
As the morning starts, you will enjoy the Gulmarg, a meadow of flowers that is just 2730 Mts above sea level. It has one of the highest golf courses with 18 holes and the best ski slopes in the world. And if the weather is favorable, you can also view the Nanga Parbat, a mountain over 26000 feet dominating the whole area. Don’t miss the gondola or cable car for a mountain ride to Khilanmarg. In the evening, drive back to Srinagar. Overnight in a hotel.
SRINAGAR – SONMARG – SRINAGAR Morning proceeds for Sonmarg (Meadow of Gold). In about 3 hours, we will cover about 83 km. With mountains surrounding it and streams of flowers, Sonmarg lies in Sindh Valley. IIt’s also known as the base for some interesting high-altitude Himalayan Lakes trek. Dinner and overnight in a deluxe houseboat.
IN SRINAGAR LOCAL SIGHTSEEING Afternoon sightseeing of the Mughal Gardens, visiting Nishat Bagh built by Asaf Khan, the brother-in-law of Jehangir in 1632 AD, and Shalimar Bagh built by Jehangir for his wife empress Nur Jahan. Then return back to the hotel.
DEPARTURES FROM SRINAGAR After breakfast, transfer to Srinagar airport for an onward flight with sweet memories.
